Hello Traveler,
My name is Jason, I live in Shakopee, MN, the only Minnesota town mentioned in the movie Cars (scan for the minivan scene)
I have two OUTSTANDING kids. One is a black belt
and the other runs the Lemonade Mafia in Scott County.
I, along with five or six other people, grew up in southwestern North Dakota. After high school I graduated from the University of North Dakota with BBAs in Finance and Information Systems and a B.Acc. in Accountancy with a minor in tumble weed studies. Later, I earned a JD from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN.

A good human who enjoys an audience

So enough about me,
secret sauce...
I moved to Washington, DC in 2005 and after earning my CPA, I started my career working in the Defense and Civilian sectors of the Federal Government. I next moved into consulting, working at BearingPoint and Deloitte. I focused on sorting out specialized Legal, Accounting, and Technology issues as well as fixing PC load letter errors. While there, I had a number of adventures, including helping to resolve the famed Cobel v. Norton litigation, finding Mrs. Kazlovskis cat Mittens Jr., being a member of the team who worked out the US Department of Justice’s qualified financial statement opinion, and interviewing prominent policymakers as a part of Deloitte Research’s inaugural Public Sector thought leadership season.

I moved back to the Midwest and explored IT Audit and Information Security in the financial services industry. I led the first Cybersecurity audit at a large midwestern bank and set up the function that reviews and evaluates risks associated with customer and vendor contracts, an emerging Cybersecurity issue, at a large software company. Need a technology heavyweight? I'm a CISA, a CCSP, and a CISSP, and won a pie eating contest once.
Believe it or not I’ve taught Law, Tax Compliance, Tax Controversy, Automation, and Information Security to legions of accountants, attorney ws, and infosec professionals who said and I quote “He was pretty good.”
